Auburn Public Theater has secured a $50,000 state grant to make key building improvements, according to The Citizen. The funding, part of New York’s $86 million arts infrastructure initiative, will go toward fixing the theater’s roof and replacing its nonfunctional main sign.
The grant will support roof repairs over administrative offices and update the building’s exterior signage with new electrical panels for greater visibility. Theater leaders say the upgrades aim to enhance safety, accessibility, and overall experience for patrons.
Gov. Kathy Hochul praised the investments as vital to strengthening arts and local economies across the state.
